Two jailed for anti-war graffiti

Two old yins aged 70 and 78 have been jailed for witting anti-war graffiti like "No Star Wars" and "Ban Cluster Bombs" on a wall at the High Court in Edinburgh in November protesting over the war in Iraq.

This really annoys me.

For me and any Scot I feel it doesn't matter if you agree with the war or not you should always support our troops where ever they are.

They have signed up for a job and carry it out, a lot of them I am led to believe does not agree with the war too but just can't leave.

There are times and places to protest, but putting paint onto a court building in a country that has a government in place that has been the most outspoken of all the UK political parties that 100% DOES not support the Iraqi war is, to be honest stupid and pointless.

If they want to protest in that way and if they believe it will work and make people stand up and take notice they should at least try it in London where the government who took us to war is based.

The graffiti cost £3,595 to remove.

Daft!
