Death of Baby P.

Has anyone saw in the news about the death of Baby P.

It's about a 17-month-old child named in court as Baby P, died after suffering 50 injuries including a broken back, eight fractured ribs and extensive bruising.

He had been on the register of at-risk children in Haringey, and before his death he was visited 60 times in eight months by social workers, police and health professionals.

After a nine-week Old Bailey trial, a 36-year-old man from Bromley, and a 32-year-old man were convicted of "causing or allowing the death of a child or vulnerable person".

The boy's mother had already pleaded guilty to the same charge, and all three will be sentenced on 15 December.

The mother and her 32-year-old boyfriend cannot be named for legal reasons.

Two social workers and a lawyer have been given warnings over the case.

But the biggest shocker of all with this sorry story is that four social workers and the doctor did could not spot the 17-month-old had a broken back but all defiantly carry on working today and no one has said sorry.

Baby P's death took place in the same borough where eight-year-old Victoria Climbie was tortured to death in 2000 by her aunt and her aunt's boyfriend.

Why are they not sacked, really it's not a case of catching a quick smoke in the toilet. This is a kid who had over 50 injuries including a broken back and no one did anything to help this kid.

The council bosses in charge of this department, the social workers, the doctor and anyone else who failed this child should all go.
