All the big nobs today have confirmed something that we all knew… a recession has started or is on it’s way.
A piece written by Sir Alan Sugar in a daily newspaper says that as jobs start going left, right and centre that we should look at what we can do to help.
He says for us to help we should buy British.
Example - when we go into Asda, buy british apples instead of imported, buy British meats, cheese & British wine (yeah there is such a thing).
You know what, he’s right. Having a look around the shelves myself there is a lot of British food out there… and not that more expensive than the big brands, normally less – I myself skip them and used to buy big brands.
Recently I’ve been shopping more in stores like Lidi and a lots of their brands are British and I noticed a lot of Scottish made food.
It doesn’t matter if you call yourself British, Scottish, English, Welsh or Northern Irish we all share a small island and helping each other out isn’t a bad thing.
Maybe it’s something we should thing about when we go shopping
